We recently sponsored Penn & Tylers Green Open Gardens. This event helps raise funds for Penn & Tylers Green Village Care, a community group which provides transport to the less able across our area.

The Open Gardens events give local residents an opportunity to showcase their gardens whilst raising money for this great charity.

We have donated £200 to Penn & Tylers Green Village Care as a gesture of respect and gratitude for the work it does.

The donation will support the charity's voluntary service, which includes transport to and from hospitals and GP surgeries etc. as well as such things as shopping and trips to social clubs.

Covid-19 has been very hard for local charities that rely on fundraising, so we wanted to show our support because we think the work the team at Village Care do is inspiring.

They are a wonderful bunch of caring volunteers working so hard to help other local people who do not have access to transport. We're delighted to be able to help them in some small way.

It is also with sadness to announce that one of the organisers, Jan Lance, passed away just before the event. The family have asked that if anyone would like to make a donation in her memory to do so by clicking on the link below. Our thoughts go out to her family during this difficult time.

We would like to thank Anna Williams for allowing us to use the great photos she took at the open gardens event.
