Now only a few days away from Christmas, many of our evenings will consist of watching a Christmas film wrapped up warm on the sofa with a box of chocolates in our PJs.
We’ve exchanged our favourite Christmas films of all time around the Kingshills office, and we have chosen some classics:
Steve G – Die Hard
A Christmas classic or an action film that just happens to take place over Christmas? Die Hard is a staple this time of year and popular for those who enjoy a more gripping storyline.
Shelbie – Elf
A timeless movie jam-packed full of typical Christmas themes like family, finding acceptance and, of course, eating a bunch of sugary meals… will Shelbie be eating a plate full of spaghetti and M&Ms this Christmas day?
James – How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Adapted from the great mind of Dr Seuss, The Grinch is much loved Christmas film and character. Believe it or not, James is more of a happy Who than a Grinch!
Lucy – Love Actually
A Christmas movie full of twists and intertwined story lines with undoubtedly one of the best casts EVER. A lot can be learned from this film, including Hugh Grant being the best Prime Minister we’ve had and that you’ll find love actually is all around...
Katie – The Snowman
A seasonal favourite in many family homes across the nation. The illustrations by Raymond Briggs matched with the chart-topper “Walking in the Air” makes for a magical story. I mean, come on… it’s a flying snowman!
Helen - The Santa Clause
Tim Allen stars in this family-favourite where he accidentally kills a man in a Santa suit, gets magically transported to the North Pole and has an elf explain that he must take Santa's place before the next Christmas arrives. A very normal Christmas Eve!
Steve J – National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
And oldie but goldie! Christmas Vacation is a film full to the brim with family embarrassment and dreaded mishaps on the lead up to Christmas Day. A typical American family with a dog called “Snot”… charming!
Have we chosen well? Let us know what you will be watching!
